Dharmavastu
Dharmavastu (formerly Vajrakuta) is a Buddhist retreat centre that houses a permanent men's community affiliated to the FWBO and runs study retreats for people interested in practising Buddhism and usually involved with one of the FWBO's urban Centres. The retreats are mostly for men only.


Glasses for Humanity
Glasses for Humanity removes a significant barrier to literacy, education, productivity and economic well-being for tens of millions of people each year. They collect used eyeglasses in the United States; train and employ 21,000 vision care providers in the developing world; provide 30 million people in developing nations with eyeglasses each year, and provide eyeglasses for many of the nearly 2 million American schoolchildren in the United States who cannot currently see the blackboard clearly.


Norbu Charitable Foundation

Social and medical assistance in Kham-NangXian, Tibet. Free distribution of clothes and medicines to children, building schools, clinics and orphanages.


Pundarika Foundation
Foundation to support Information on world-wide teaching schedules of Tsoknyi Rinpoche, including seminars and an endowment fund to fight poverty in Tibet.


The Bhavana Society
Bhavana Society Forest Monastery and Retreat Center presents vipassana meditation retreats in the Theravada Buddhist tradition; we are open to all those who want to learn insight meditation


Tibetan Nuns Project
In 1987 the Tibetan Nuns Project was founded to provide basic humanitarian aide to refugee nuns from Tibet. Food, clothing, housing, and basic medical care were organized. A sponsorship program was set up which allows donors from around the world to contribute to the effort.


Tzu Chi Foundation
Tzu-Chi Free Clinic offers free health care to financially disadvantaged patients. Summer volunteers and donations are welcome. With Buddhist affiliations.


Volunteer Work In The Nyingma Organizations
The work of the Nyingma organizations lies in preserving the written and artistic legacy of Tibetan Buddhist culture, in bringing the Dharma to the West, and in encouraging the self-discovery of the Buddhist path. This work has been accomplished by a relatively small group of dedicated, full-time volunteers. Some have been working since Tarthang Tulku’s arrival in 1969, others have come for 6 months, a year or longer.
